Why launch this now?

The tech writing world is changing rapidly (just like a billabong after a good wet season), and honestly, it’s becoming quite hard to keep track of everything. I am hoping to step into this gap between community and commentary, between events and the broader ecosystem, between what’s happening globally and what matters right here in our own backyard.

We have many fantastic resources and folks talking about these issues and amplifying the needs through their blogs and podcasts, but they are mostly geographically focussed on other parts of the globe (for example, US or Europe). I want this resource to be more about the land down under, and places around us.

What is this about?

I want to create a vibrant, open platform that spotlights the voices, questions, and realities of the Australian tech content industry, through podcasts, articles, events, and community-led insights.

My motive?

To curate, amplify, and connect. I am not here to create another silo, this is about building the connective tissue between professionals, recruiters, organisations, and the conversations that actually matter.

Think of this blog as:

• Curated and conversational (not just another content aggregator)
• Geographically rooted in Australia, but globally aware
• Loosely affiliated with existing orgs, but editorially independent
• Contribution-driven, but not exclusive
• Collaborator-led, not hierarchical
